Kevin at Baconpress has, for a long time, been one of my favourite reads. Now he has started a side blog for the San Francisco masses. Against his better judgment, our Kevin promises he will venture into and eat at the places his ears, eyes, and nose instinctively warn him against. Appropriately entitled Dive, Kevin promises to spelunk the culinary hole-in-the-walls, the greasy spoons, the roach coaches - all while constantly searching for that diamond in the rough. What a guy!

One of the best articles I have read in the Chronicle: Taming of the Screw by Amanda Gold, putting forward all sides of the argument in the great BYOB debate of 2006.

    wow--thanks for pointing to my site. :) i've started a new food blog, moving food posts off my personal blog so people don't have to sort through my personal musings to get to the food. new food blog is called Muffin Top.
