This is the first of (probably) three and a half roundups for IMBB#19 on the theme of "I Can't Believe I Ate Vegan". Food Bloggers from all over the world have taken this opportunity to prove that purely vegetable-based food, without the addition of any animal products, can be transformed into tantalizing and tasty recipes that would have even the most ardent meat eaters begging for more. Thank you to everyone who took part. I hope everyone enjoys checking out all the imaginative recipes entered, as much as I did. Click on a photo that takes your fancy, or a recipe that sounds intriguing and start to discover the possibilities of veganism.

Hay, fixed my vegan chili goof yesterday. I really didn't want to toss the entire pot, so I added a load of browned beef, tequila, beer, more chile powder and simmered it for 2 hours. That did it.

Funky wrap-up!
A picture says a thousand words. A hundred IMBB photos say "eat me now!".
Thanks for a unique theme. I think we all learnt a little more about veganism!

Ditto everyone else- great roundup! I look forward to the rest: this is the first IMBB where I can actually appreciate/drool/try all the entries, since Im a vegetarian. Thanks for chosing such a great theme :-)

This looks like the menu layout of several of my favorite Asian restaurants... the ones where you nod and point to the pretty food you want, not being able to pronounce its name.
Fabulous job everyone!

Fantastic layout for the round up. What I loved about this IMBB is I am now more aware of vegan food; I ate Indian vegan dishes last weekend and I got some vegan bread made from soya milk which was so tasty. Thanks so much for a great theme.

Hi Sam,
Great round-up! These dishes all look so fabulous. Sorry I couldn't participate this time round, was on vacation and there were just too many things to deal with. Cheers, Elise
