Hi Sam. I was reading your previous post about the eating local challenge. I am really intrigued by this. I was really curious to know how local I am, so i noted down all the food I ate in three days. I was really shocked by the result. seehere
I came to the conclusion that it is impossible to eat local 100%. Not only it needs a very strong motivation and self discipline, we also have to have a supportive system and environment!
I really appreciated your effort, and good luck with your quest!
I am a fans of your blog.
    cheers

    Hi Sam,

Are you in London? Take a look at the Moshi Moshi web site. Depending on what you had for dinner, you may have had some local fish rather than far-flown options. That is one of their endeavors! You may not have ventured too far into your red zone!

And I just figured out you're an English gal living in San Francisco! Oh well, the restaurant in London tries to sell local, sustainable fish as an alternative!

Sam, I think you should, as penance, fly to London and eat at the Moshi Moshi there. ;-)

    KIDDING.

Dinner sounds like it was delicious, regardless, and the 209 cocktail in there balances things out. At least, that's how I see it.

I agree with Sari, though -- eating totally, totally locally? Would be very hard.
