$3900 -- wow, it doesn't tell you how many you got right, or even the correct answers?

  • At 10/6/08 17:26, Blogger Sam said…

Hi Anita - I designed it that way on purpose so people couldn't cheat and replay to get a better score.

If enough people think I am a mean, heard, bad-ass for penning the quiz that way then I guess I could leave the answers in a week or so.

(or I could just email you if you are the only one who asks for them ;)

$4,270... or something like that. It reset faster than I could commit it to memory!

    $5520.80. Not bad, eh?

I did worse than everyone -- $3037. This is fun.

Fun. I get to spend $5641.60. BTW, didn't work on my Mac in Safari, but worked fine on Firefox.

Hmmm - it works for me on Safari 3.1.1 on a Mac on OSX just fine?

  • At 10/6/08 20:56, Blogger Kate said…

Only $3104. Dang. What will I eat?

  • At 10/6/08 23:59, Blogger Alice Q. said…

$4675 - those were some tricky questions Sam - I want to know the answers! That article makes me think maybe I should eat at Quince sometime, since it's right around the cornef from Tommy's house.

I'll starve for sure! $1570 for the rest of the year.

    Vegetals? I don't DO vegetals.

I played and won me 893 dollars.

Sorry Jen, I got ya beat! Feh.

I promise I will leave the answers - I'll just leave it a few days to give more people a chance to play first.

Glad you're having fun, people, I have a few more games up my sleeve.

$2300! I wish! Thanks so much for the entertainment. This was brilliant. Looking forward to the answers.

I found the green garbanzos were not sufficiently responsive to my clicks! I wasted time reclicking and only earned a couple thousand bucks. (That's why I'm growing my own.)
Fun, Sam. You should consider going into the game industry! :D

Cute! Thanks for helping me procrastinate... much appreciated.

Checked back and it works fine in Safari... although my score went down a bit.

Phew, I have $3654.10. That's going to get me through a summer of Ferry Building Farmer's Markets at least. Thanks to your blog, I won't be spending it at SAFEWAY, where it would only get me through, what, 4th of July?

  • At 12/6/08 04:22, Blogger Beccy said…

I thought I did ok until I saw how well everyone else did! I'm left with $1208.03

sort of middle of the roadish $4708 or so - and judging by the quince response - we get some random mix of questions - since I wasn't asked about quinces at all at all

can we all go to sims carnival and make things like this?

  • At 13/6/08 08:31, Blogger Sam said…

Yes - you can all go to Sims Carnival and make things like this. Let me know if you need any help/have any questions. You can make quizzes easily using the wizard tool and then go into the swapper tool to swap the art (that part is a bit more of a time investment).

  • At 13/6/08 08:32, Blogger Sam said…

PS - the quizzes are under the "puzzle/Text-based Puzzles"

  • At 18/6/08 20:38, Blogger Sam said…

Note - they are in a different random order every time you play.

The flavour of sorrel is akin to lemon

    Actors create hubub with rhubarb

Potato is not found in Ratatouille

In CA, asparagus is not in season in November

Habanero is hottest on the Scoville scale

Cucumber is the odd one out (all the others are orange in hue)

Ajo blanco contains almonds and sherry vinegar

A dice of onions, carrots and celery is known as mirepoix

Cardoon is the odd one out - all the others are eggplant in different languages

Globe artichoke is the odd one out since all the others are ways of describing the other type of artichoke - whatever that is you call it.

    thanks for pllaying everyone!
