Food Pairing Game

Let the Menu Matching begin:

Flip over the cards to pair the recipe-in-progress with the finished dish. Sort out the menu as quickly as you can because the dinner guests will be arriving soon...

I know the pictures are a little bit small and perhaps not the easiest to see - it's a kind of work in progress, learning as I go along kind of thing. I'll keep working at it in the hope of bringing you better foodie games in the future...

The small pictures are not as much a problem as the fact that when a match is wrong the second picture flips back over way to fast for you to get a decent look at what it was.

CC - Lindens? Ok - I am not getting the reference.

Anonymous - I know what you mean. On the one hand I find it annoying too, on the other hand it is part of the game play design as you have to click on a card first in the sequence to get a really good look at what it is, the second card is just a glimpse.

I didn't actually build the game from scratch, I just took this classic card game and swapped the art for my pitures of food.

The difference between my game and the original of course, is that playing cards are universally recognisable and so even if you only catch a glimpse of the second card - the chances are you can still remember it - at least moreso than you would a picture of some food you have never seen before.

If I rebuiilt this game I think I would have to lengthen the pause on the second card, you are right.

Thanks for the constructive criticism. It is apreciated.

    Cheers

    sam

It took me about 2 minutes, once I reread the instructions. I think it would be easier full screen.

Oh, darn, you're going to make me explain my dumb joke. Lindens are the unit of currency in Second Life (the Sims-type game).

Hi littlem - you are right about full screen but unfortunately this is the max size available for these particular casual games.
