Bay Area Blogger of the Week #57

Kat from Kungfoodie is my absolute star and hero this week for several reasons. Not only did she donate an unique plate signed by Alice Waters as a prize for Menu For Hope, she also went ahead and took the innovative step of creating this fantastic Kaboodle slideshow of all nearly all the US West Coast Prizes which she has kindly allowed me to use today. *

I am lucky enough to have met Kat a couple of times this year and I can vouch for the fact that she is a generous girl with a heart of gold. I think this act of kindness in helping us raise money for the United Nations World Food Programme proves it. Please, everyone, go give her some love and some thanks for all her great work and put in a bid for her special prize, UW19.

*please visit the donor website to confirm the exact details of the prizes on offer

    Hi Sam,
What an outstanding effort by Kat!
One little correction. The Alejandro and Martin Olive oil prize is 20 bottles (100ml), not 1 case. 1 case is only 4 bottles. This prize is actually 5 cases.

Sam - Just got back from India to discover Menu for Hope. What a fab idea!

I don't have mastercard or visa does this mean I can't bid for a prize and make my contribution? Help...

Millika - i think these are the only credit cards they take - is there anyway you could persuade a friend to donate on your behalf and then you give them the cash? This is the only way I can think of. Sorry.
