The Anti Vegan

The IMBB#19 Roundup, "I Can't Believe I ate Vegan", is now complete. The entries covered a wide range of ideas and approaches to cooking without using animal products of any kind. If you haven't yet checked the previous three posts for the collection of approximately 100 vegan recipes submitted, then do so now. There are many priceless stories in store ranging from making vegan dog food, to the 'meatiest man' in Foodblog-land's unhappy and unsuccessful attempt at experimenting with fake sausage to make chilli.

Everyone made a stellar effort. Everyone, that is except Toast Point who opted for the antithesis of IMBB with an entry in which she tries to eat as many animal products as she can in just one meal, including foie gras. Katherine has taken a very funny approach and for originality alone, shall be redeemed in the eyes of IMBB. She may now hold her head as high as a souffle for the October edition, coming to you from Kitchen Chick.

PS One last mention. Thoughts go out to Barret who sounds like he had a spicy vegan entry up his sleeve. That was before he had a close encounter with a knife that put him out of action. Hope you are healing fast, Barret!
Archive Alert! On this date in 2004 we ate tarka dhal and spicy lamb which we washed down with our first ever entry for Wine Blogging Wednesday!

Thanks for the kind word! The cut is healing nicely.

I'll post the recipe I had in mind in a few days. It wasn't a horrible cut, but it's right on the inside of my left thumb which is very um... bleedful.

Thanks for the mention and for the official absolution from IMBB guilt. I'll be sure to say extra Bloodly Marys tommorow as penance. Err... I mean, drink extra Hail Marys. Or somethink like that.

glutton rabbit - I was SO impressed with your feast. It was truly amazing, seriously. especially the little lychees agars which were not only beautiful, but also seemed to gather some attention on vegan newsgroups which have linked through to the roundups.

barrett- happy to hear you are not going to die. I think bleedful might have looked very pretty against my white, ceramic knife.

Katherine - don't worry - I think you have a large band of new fans for your blatant display of cheek.

Jessica, I didn't mean to single anyone out or give prominence, but if you will go and make dog food, then what do you expect ;)
