UW08: This is a truly amazing prize put together by Heidi from 101 Cookbooks might be worth more than any other prize in the entire Menu For Hope Campaign. You no longer need an expense account or an exclusive invitation. One lucky reader could actually win a TASTE3 Full Conference Pass (value $2350). Taste 3 is a food and wine event unlike any other - in both scope and format. It is an interdisciplinary conference held annually and it brings together roughly forty of the most compelling writers, thinkers, chefs, winemakers, journalists, scientists, researchers, artisans, and executives to deliver concise, passionate twenty minute presentations to the intimate crowd (of just 350 people). UW25: Tickets for the Blogher '07 aren't quite as pricey, but if you win a free pass to next Summer's Conference you will still be saving yourself a few hundred dollars. At Blogher '07 in Chicago, you will be able to hang out with all sorts of cool people like those who went last year including quite a bunch of food bloggers and immerse yourself in all sorts of topics related to you, to women and to blogging in general. This prize covers free admission for all sessions and parties. Most meals are included with conference registration but the winner will be responsible for airfare and hotel costs. PS Gift Giving Tip for Christmas and Other Holidays: If you are one of those people, like me, who has friends all over the world and you aren't organised at buying gifts and mailing them, why not buy a raffle ticket in someone else's name? I did this last year. It was great fun choosing prizes to suit the personalities of my friends and family. For everyone I bought a ticket for - I emailed them to let them know, hoping they might be encouraged to buy a few tickets of their own as well. I probably bought a dozen or more tickets and two of them actually won prizes so I was glad I made the effort.
