Breakfast arrived in our
fabulous suite (we couldn't believe we were upgraded for free!) at 10.30am, as requested, on the dot. The freshly squeezed pink grapefruit juice was excellent, and the pots of tea and coffee very much welcomed. The croissants, their appearance promising, were warm, crispy, and wrapped in a little white linen cloth. Despite initial hopes they were, nevertheless, berated by the Frenchman when he tried them.
As for me? I was tickled and amused by the presentation of my waffle, but it was soggy, flaccid and certainly not as much fun to eat as it was to look at...
