Welcome to any new British readers of Delicious magazine who might have found this blog through the new March issue's "Blog Standard" feature. You can find out more about what we are about on this blog by reading my 'about' page. If you are looking for recipes, please scroll down the blog roll to your right to find the indices. And if you want to help me put English food on the world map, be sure to check back at the end of this month for an announcement about my 2007 St George's Day Food Celebration, "Fish & Quips". It's going to be a lot of fun.

Special thanks to my sweet friend Keiko for emailing me the article before the magazine had even apparently even hit the shop shelves. (My mum checked in Sainsbury's only yesterday and couldn't find it.) And congratulations to Johanna who was featured last month in the very first edition of Blog Standard.
congratulations on the article! i love that magazine and sometimes pick it up over here so i'll be sure to check it out! no chance of posting it on your page?
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to reading the whole article. I'll take another trip to see if it's arrived on the shelf tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Sam, I wonder will I be able to get it here.
ReplyDeleteconga-rats! I would not mind crusading for English desserts myself. I love bird's custard (got the addiction from my husband who's dad is from England).. yumm
ReplyDeleteCongrats! Your Philly cheesesteak turnovers sound perfect for my friend's Super Bowl Party.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I've just received the February issue which featured my friend Johanna:)
ReplyDeleteOMG I've got some reading to catch up on! I've only just finished January's issue which was out in December! I love delicious! - not to mention the fact that it's Australian! And I'm so glad to hear that they've got a new blog feature! Good job, Sam!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Sam. But is there more than one Delicious magazine? I received a gift subscription for Christmas of the Australian version and their is no Blog Standard feature.
ReplyDeleteMany congratulations! They certainly have good taste. I'm not sure how they're going to top you.
ReplyDeleteWay cool! Nice pic of you too!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. Wonder if this'll trickle down to the Aussie edition. Will keep an eye out.
ReplyDeleteThat's great Sam - how fun!
ReplyDeleteYou look... um.. Delicious
ReplyDeleteI am so buying this issue. Congratulations Sam!
ReplyDeletethanks everyone for the congratulations. English desserts - there is no doubt they need to be crusaded for, and even some other brit food too.
ReplyDeletehomesick texan - the turnovers went down very well at last year's superbowl - you just need some patience with the filling part of the rocedure - as long as you give yourself enough time and don't overstuff them you will be ok.
And for all the Aussies - I hope your version follows with the blog feature too because there are so many wonderful Australian food blogs.

Wowsers...great news on the press!
ReplyDeleteok, I went to Barnes and Noble and apparently the Delicious magazine there is the australian version...
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, I usually buy delicious and this month's double whammy of you plus an article by Clothilde from Chocolate & Zucchini made it a perfect read!
ReplyDeleteI found your blog here as I've a blog entitled 'the Bog Standard Blog' which some bloggers misspell as Blog Standard Blog. I'm always curious how the term 'Bog Standard' is used online.
ReplyDeleteI'll be back again here to read about "Fish & Quips" :-)
What a treat...I regularly read both Delicious and your blog. Great to see you featured this month. Congrats.
